Getting Started

What is TUUN?

TUUN is an AI-powered wellness companion app. It helps you understand your body and daily habits by combining your Apple Health data, optional genetic markers, and personalized AI insights. TUUN is designed to support your wellbeing journey — it is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Is TUUN a medical device?

No. TUUN is a wellness and lifestyle application. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. In case of a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.

Does TUUN sell test kits?

In Australia, TUUN does not sell any physical test kits. You can upload genetic data or blood marker results you already have, but we do not offer testing services in Australia.

How do I connect Apple Health (HealthKit)?

  1. On first launch, TUUN will request permission to read your Health data. Tap Allow to continue.
  2. You can adjust which data types TUUN can access any time: iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → TUUN.
  3. If you initially denied access, you can re-enable it from the same screen.

Does TUUN work offline?

HealthKit data sync and your historical data viewing work offline. AI chat and daily agent summaries require an internet connection.

Privacy & Data

How is my data protected?

Your data is encrypted both in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). HealthKit data is processed only within the app and our secure servers — it is never used for advertising or marketing, and never sold or rented to third parties. For full details, please read our Privacy Policy.

What data does TUUN send to the AI (Claude)?

When you use AI chat features, we send your message text and relevant health metrics as context to Anthropic's Claude API. We do not send: your name, user ID, email address, phone number, precise location, or contacts. AI-processed data is deleted within 30 days.

How do I delete my data?

  • Delete specific data types: Settings → Privacy → select the data type to remove.
  • Delete genetic data only: Settings → Genetic Data → Delete. Processed within 14 days.
  • Delete entire account: Settings → Account → Delete Account. All personal data and backups are permanently removed within 90 days.

How do I revoke HealthKit permissions?

Go to iPhone Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → TUUN, and toggle off any data types you no longer want TUUN to access.

Subscriptions & Billing

What subscription plans are available?

  • Free — Basic HealthKit sync, limited AI chat
  • Plus — Unlimited AI chat, daily agent summaries, full widgets
  • Pro — Everything in Plus + genetic analysis, advanced blood markers, priority AI model

How do I cancel my subscription?

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
  3. Select TUUN.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription.

You will continue to have access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions.

How do I request a refund?

All subscriptions are purchased and billed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. TUUN does not have the ability to issue refunds for In-App Purchases.

Features

How does the AI chat work?

TUUN's AI chat is powered by Anthropic's Claude. It reviews your recent health metrics (with your permission) and provides personalized, science-backed guidance on sleep, movement, nutrition, and recovery. AI responses are not medical advice.

What is the Daily Agent Summary?

Every morning, TUUN reviews the past 24 hours of your health data and generates a short summary of what to focus on today. This is available to Plus and Pro subscribers.

Can I upload genetic data?

Yes. TUUN supports SNP-based raw genotype files from services like 23andMe. Upload is optional and requires explicit informed consent. Your genetic data is encrypted, stored securely, and never shared. You can delete it at any time.

What blood markers does TUUN track?

TUUN supports tracking of common blood markers you can manually enter. For the full list of supported markers, see the in-app Blood Markers section.

Troubleshooting

My HealthKit data isn't syncing.

  • Check that TUUN has permission to read the relevant data types in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → TUUN.
  • Force-quit and reopen the app.
  • Ensure your iOS is up to date.
  • If the issue persists, email us at social@tuunclub.com with your device model and iOS version.

The AI chat isn't responding.

  • Ensure you have an active internet connection.
  • Check that you haven't exceeded your tier's chat quota (Free tier has a daily limit).
  • Try restarting the app.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

  • A clear description of the issue or request
